Isteni közbenjárás Szent Szpiridon ünnepén 1926-ban

Két évvel a naptárváltás után, 1926-ban, az attikai Mandrában, Szent Szpiridon ünnepének napján, miközben az újnaptárasok a karácsonyt ünnepelték, a hívek a Szent tiszteletére mentek, de a templom ajtaját zárva találták, ugyanis a rendőrség láncokkal zárta azt le. Ilyen parancsokat adott az újnaptárasok akkori érseke, Chrysostomos Papadopoulos. Ekkor a hívek gyertyát gyújtottak és a templom ajtajára tették őket, ekkor azonnal lehullottak a láncok és kinyílt az ajtó! Ez egyike volt annak a sok jelnek és csodának, amelyet Isten akkoriban művelt, hogy felfedje a gonoszságot, amit azok a hierarchák követtek el, akik a hívekre rákényszerítették a pápista naptárat Görögországban, hogy együtt ünnepeljenek és imádkozzanak a pápistákkal (amint azt ma különösképp látjuk), megbontva ezzel az ortodoxok csaknem kétezer éve fennálló naptári egységét és rendjét.

Two years after the change of the calendar, in the year 1926, in Mandra, Attica, on the day that Saint Spyridon was celebrated, while the newcalendarists were celebrating Christmas, the faithful went to honor the Saint but found the door of the Church locked by the police with chains. Such an order was given by the then Archbishop of the new calendar, Chrysostomos Papadopoulos. Then the faithful lit candles and put them on the door of the Church, immediately the chains fell down and the door opened! This was one of the many signs and wonders that happened then by God to show expose the evil that was done by those hierarchs who imposed the papal calendar in Greece to celebrate and pray with the Papist (as we see especially today), stumbling the calendar unity and order of the Orthodox that existed for almost two thousand years.
